MEETING TOPIC: The Blue Zones - How to Live Longer, Better

This session explores the “Blue Zones” principles—simple, evidence-based habits from the world’s longest-living populations—and how they translate into both better health and safer performance at work. We’ll connect nutrition, movement, stress management, and community to real-world outcomes like reduced fatigue, improved focus, and lower injury risk. The goal is to give you practical, actionable strategies you can use right away to feel better, perform better, and stay safer on the job.


About the Speakers:

Kevin Heine is an ACSM-certified Exercise Physiologist and board-certified Health Coach who specializes in helping people create meaningful, sustainable behavior change. A former Ohio State athlete, he holds a degree in Exercise Science and has a strong background in fitness assessment, program design, and performance optimization, along with training in Functional Medicine. His experience spans Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Clinic, and private practice.

Lindsay Malone is an Integrative and Functional Medicine Dietitian and Director of Nutrition. She holds a BS from Xavier University and an MS in Public Health Nutrition from Case Western Reserve University, with experience at the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Functional Medicine and as an educator at CWRU’s medical and dental schools. Lindsay takes an individualized, evidence-based approach, recognizing that nutrition is shaped by factors like genetics, stress, sleep, and lifestyle.
