Collision Body "A" Technician

We’re currently seeking an experienced and motivated Collision Body “A” Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role for a skilled technician who thrives on craftsmanship, accuracy, and teamwork in a high-performance environment. We practice price matching on parts where we can, to support an efficient and quality repair.

At MPACT Collision, we’re not just fixing cars—we’re restoring trust, precision, and peace of mind. As a growing, I-CAR Gold Certified collision repair provider, our mission is to deliver top-tier repairs with integrity, care, and cutting-edge technology. We’re proud to serve our local communities across Northeast Ohio with a team that’s driven by quality and defined by trust, by leadership that is privately and locally owned.

What You'll Do:

  • Damage Assessment: Evaluate structural and cosmetic damage through visual inspection and diagnostic tools; collaborate with estimators to determine scope of repair.
  • Frame & Structural Repairs: Utilize computerized frame alignment systems and hydraulic equipment to straighten frames and unibody structures.
  • Body Panel Work: Repair or replace panels including doors, hoods, fenders, and quarter panels using proper welding (MIG/TIG) and fastening techniques.
  • Surface Prep: Grind, sand, and apply filler to prepare surfaces for refinishing (painting completed by refinish technicians).
  • Component Assessment: Reinstall or align body components such as trim, glass, and hardware to factory fit and finish.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform final checks to ensure repairs meet OEM guidelines, safety standards, and customer expectations.
  • Tool Use & Safety: Maintain and safely operate frame machines, welders, grinders, dent pullers, and other specialized tools.

What You Bring:

  • Applicant must be 18 years old with high school diploma or GED
  • Proven expertise in frame straightening, welding (MIG/TIG), dent repair, and metalworking.
  • Familiarity with frame alignment systems (e.g., Car-O-Liner, Chief).
  • Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment with protective gear
  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in collision repair.
  • Completion of a certified collision repair program (e.g., UTI, Lincoln Tech).
  • I-CAR and/or ASE certifications.
  • Working knowledge of collision repair software (CCC One, Mitchell, etc.).

  • Competitive, experience-based compensation.
  • Certification support and training opportunities.
  • A clean, organized work environment with strong team collaboration.
  • A values-based culture focused on trust, quality, and community impact.
