Position: Fire Alarm Technician: : Full-Time

Roles and responsibilities: As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Service and repair fire alarm systems and other low voltage systems according to industry standards and local codes.
• Start-up new systems, and modify existing databases using system programmers.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with fire alarm equipment, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices.
• Assist with regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability.
• Documenting all service and maintenance activities accurately and timely.
• Responding to emergency service calls to resolve system issues promptly.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years minimum experience in the fire alarm industry as a technician, or an installer.
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings, submittals, technical diagrams, and schematics.
• Factory training from Autocall, Simplex, Edwards preferred.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA & IBC codes, regulations, and other local standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
