Manager of Engagement – Feeding Medina County 

Feeding Medina County (FMC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that focuses on ending hunger and food insecurity in Medina County.   Our mission is to Nourish our Neighbors in Need. Our vision is a Medina County where everyone has enough to eat. We operate programs county-wide that impact anyone at risk of hunger.  We believe that no one should endure hunger because of their circumstances. 

If you are passionate about fighting hunger, dependable, highly-organized, and people-centered, with event planning experience, we want to hear from you.   You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and be responsible for all aspects of our special events and marketing efforts.  This is a full-time position; working from our warehouse in Medina, with local travel.  There is a limited opportunity to work from home.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized Manager of Engagement to lead our fundraising events, marketing efforts, and community engagement initiatives. This role is essential to advancing our mission of reducing food insecurity across Medina County.

Position Overview

The Manager of Engagement plans and manages all major FMC events, oversees marketing and social media, supports donor stewardship, and assists with grant writing and reporting. This role collaborates closely with staff, volunteers, board members, and community partners to increase awareness, strengthen donor relationships, and drive fundraising success.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of FMC’s major events, including the Annual Gala, Friendraiser, and Donor Appreciation Event.
  • Manage third‑party and community events; coordinate logistics, volunteers, vendors, and sponsors.
  • Develop and implement FMC’s marketing and social media strategy.
  • Create event materials, publications, newsletters, e‑appeals, and the annual report.
  • Produce engaging digital content and maintain event webpages.
  • Support grant writing, reporting, and funder communication.
  • Track donations, sponsorships, budgets, and event performance.
  • Cultivate and steward corporate sponsors and community partners.
  • Represent FMC at meetings, events, and community engagements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years nonprofit experience, including 2+ years in event management and development.
  • Experience in marketing, social media, and CRM database systems.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Willingness to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and design tools (e.g., Canva)


Salary 

This is a full-time position, with an annual salary of $48,000 - $52,000.
