
Project Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Project Manager to join the team in our Brunswick, OH manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities of projects to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished. The Project Manager will also evaluate current operational processes, looking for ways to improve manufacturing productivity while reducing costs and making the best use of company resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in capital budgeting, review, and approval as part of the Capital Expenditure Committee
- Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs projects and the resources necessary for completion on time and within budget
- Coordinates with other departments to identify and define necessary projects
- Provides cost improvement opportunities to management through material replacement and processing improvement
- Develops and improves processes and methods for control and diagnosis of manufacturing technical problems
- Troubleshoot issues related to equipment quality and lead implementation of changes to correct
- Manage priorities to ensure that all activity is directed in alignment with business objectives
- Serve as the process technical expert
- Collaboration with outside parties including suppliers/vendors, manufacturers, associations, and academia to identify new technologies whose application could significantly reduce costs on current operations or significantly expand capabilities to support future operations.
- Effectively utilize software to troubleshoot and program PLC driven systems
- Maximize utilization of asset management software
- Negotiate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring the best quality of services and materials at the most cost-effective prices
- Recommend and coordinate process improvement activities
- Independently perform process and project activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 5 years related experience in a manufacturing setting and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) or Associates Degree (A.A.) in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management Preferred.
- Ability to apply general concepts such as percentages, addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication to practical situations.
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: $95,000- $110,000 -Offer based on experience
