Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Brunswick, OH team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products and processes comply with all relevant regulations and standards, including FDA, USDA, and other applicable food safety regulations. This role will involve collaboration with various departments to promote compliance and maintain the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists in ensuring the accuracy and regulatory compliance of ingredient statements, nutritional facts, allergen declarations and claims.
Assists Product Development with food safety and RTE (ready to eat) parameters on new products.
Communicates with vendors to obtain all raw material documentation and maintains database to comply with regulatory and customer specifications.
Develops and maintains all technical data sheets to meet company and customer requirements.
Works with vendors to complete documentation requests for distributed items.
Creates and manages organization of regulatory tasks and responsibilities within Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) programs.
Monitors and interprets regulatory trends and industry standards and communicates with necessary departments to ensure all regulatory procedures are understood, completed, and documented accurately and on time.
Implements internal audits of products and protocols to identify areas of weakness or noncompliance and puts corrective actions into place.
Works closely with the Quality Manager and Product Development team to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field required
1-3 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance in the food manufacturing industry preferred – or a combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of US Food & Drug Administration labeling regulations required.
HACCP certificate and FDA Food Labeling Course/training preferred.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the flexibility to learn web technology, SAP and ERP systems and document control systems.
What We Offer:
Competitive Salary: $50,000 - $65,000 -Offer based on experience

Shift: Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm in person at our Brunswick, OH location
