Z's Cream & Bean Manager

The Z’s Manager is to work closely with the Employment Services Manager in overseeing the operations for which he/she directly oversees.  They must oversee and be aware of the operations at Z’s with the individuals and employees, ensuring health and safety.  Some of these tasks are listed below but are not all-inclusive.


Duties Include:

  • Supervision of all Z’s staff members and individuals to ensure proper knowledge and safety of all Z’s equipment and tasks assigned are followed.
  • Develop written procedures for maintaining equipment, such as ice cream, ovens, coolers, etc.
  • Know and follow all individual ISPs.
  • Maintain and oversee all tracking logs and train all employees on proper documentation procedures.  For example- waste logs, temperature logs, individual time sheets, and inventory logs are completed and kept current.
  • Work with other employees as a team ensuring all areas of Z’s have appropriate staffing at all times and customers are receiving quality service in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the standardization of the ice cream and supply needs for Z’s Cream and Bean and keep updated inventory
  • Maintain frequent communication with the Employment Services Manager regarding concerns.
  • Turn in all paperwork, receipts, and any other documents in a timely manner.
  • Attend ISP meetings as requested.
  • Ensure emergency procedures are written and in place.
  • Maintain Manager ServSafe certification.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, appearance, and hygiene. Be a positive role model for all staff and individuals.   
  • Work with the Employment Service Manager to have written procedures in place to assist individuals on how to complete an order timely and consistently.  
  • Develop and market Z’s including but not limited to community events.
  • Know and comply with all Department of Health food safety standards.
  • Fill in for staff at the site as needed.
  • Assist in the development of menu planning, work on food preparation and training of employees, inventory, standardization, and identifying opportunities to make the business more profitable.
  • Ensure Z’s is kept in good appearance and up to Health Department Standards.
  • Comply with all DODD rules and regulations.
  • Increase revenue at Z’s
  • Decrease costs and manage waste at Z’s

 

MCA Employee Requirements: 

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must undergo a criminal background check and registry checks
  • CPR/FA certified (will provide)
  • 8-Hour Provider Course through DODD
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Monthly Continuing Ed
  • ServSafe certification level 2 Food Manager
