Learn how to create a workplace culture that supports employees affected by addiction and mental health challenges. Stefanie Robinson, Executive Director of Hope Recovery Community, will share information about the Recovery Friendly Workplace Initiative, which offers free consultation, training, and resources to help businesses promote employee health, well-being, and recovery.

Participants will gain practical tools to:

• Build a recovery-supportive workplace culture
• Understand addiction and recovery
• Reduce stigma through language and awareness
• Connect employees to local resources
• Strengthen employee wellness and retention

Speaker Bio:

Stefanie Robinson is the Founding Executive Director of Hope Recovery Community (HRC) in Medina, Ohio, a peer-led Recovery Community Organization she founded in 2018. Under her leadership, HRC has grown from a grassroots effort into a comprehensive recovery organization providing peer support, recovery housing, workforce development, re-entry services, family support, youth programming, and innovative community-based recovery initiatives.

With 18 years of personal recovery and more than a decade of peer support leadership, Stefanie's work extends well beyond Medina County. She serves on the OneOhio Foundation Expert Panel and has held state and national leadership roles with the National Peer Recovery Alliance (NPRA) and Ohio Citizen Advocates for Addiction Recovery (OCAAR). She travels to Washington, D.C. multiple times each year, working alongside national leaders and advocates to advance peer support, recovery-oriented systems of care, and policies that elevate the role of lived experience.

Stefanie is recognized nationally for her expertise in Recovery Community Organizations, peer-led services, recovery-oriented systems of care, and non-stigmatizing language. The model developed through Hope Recovery Community has gained attention beyond Ohio, with communities and organizations looking to HRC's approach as a replicable model for building locally driven recovery ecosystems.

Her leadership has been recognized with the Cleveland Clinic Medina County Community Service Award, Medina County ADAMH Board Recovery Advocate of the Year, OhioGuidestone Regional MVP, OneStep Peer Supporter of the Year, State of Ohio Champion of Recovery Cares Award, and ATHENA Leadership Award. In 2026, Stefanie and Hope Recovery Community were also named the Ohio START Community Partner of the Year for their work in the child welfare space.

Stefanie is married with two children and two dogs. Outside of work, her favorite places to be are with her family—on a soccer field or at a rodeo.
