For nearly 90 years, the construction industry has made tremendous strides in physical safety, dramatically reducing injuries and saving countless lives on job sites. However, a different crisis now demands our attention—one that claims even more lives than slips, trips, and falls: suicide. In this 45-minute presentation, you will learn practical strategies your company can implement to address these statistics and build a proactive culture of care.

Bio: Paul Lawson holds a bachelor’s degree from Cincinnati Christian University and has over ten years of experience in ministry. He combines his passion for wellness with his work in the construction industry in central Ohio, where he is a respected advocate for mental health and suicide prevention.

A two-time cancer survivor who has navigated his own mental health journey, Paul brings both lived experience and professional expertise to his work. After developing a comprehensive mental health program for a local contractor, he founded Paul Lawson Helps LLC to expand this impact across the industry.

Paul serves on the board of the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention and is dedicated to fostering a culture of care in blue-collar industries through training, speaking, and advocacy.
